Peanut Butter & Company

Unlike most cities that I’ve lived in, New York is famous for their “one-product” restaurants and stands. You can find any thing from rice pudding, to frozen yogurt, to even frites. As much as I love peanut butter, my past roommate, Suki, loved it infinitely more. One of her favorite places in NYC is Peanut Butter & Company, which is conveniently located near NYU.

Last summer (I know, this is a really late post, but I recently managed to salvage my pictures), Suki, Jamie, and I finally headed over. We didn’t really want any of their novelty sandwiches since we were so attracted to their desserts. We ordered their Death by Peanut Butter, which is really just a huge peanut butter sundae with more peanut butter… Since this was a year ago, I can’t quite remember exactly what was in it, except that there was… alot of peanut butter. Refer to the pictures please.

This place is by no means cheap, but I’ve always heard awesome reviews about it. It’s definitely a place to visit for both peanut-butter fans and moderate-likers of peanut-butter. Their popular sandwich, the Elvis, has bananas, honey, and for those who are daring, even bacon. I heard it’s an awesome combination and that’s what you can expect at PB&Co- unconventional ingredients smushed in a PB sandwich with awesome results. Of course, they also offer non-peanut butter sandwiches for those who prefer a non-peanut butter alternative. Sometimes, you can even find coupons where it’s buy one sandwich and get another free.
