This is Ling’s favorite place to grab sushi. It offers half off on sushi after you purchase $16 worth. It’s easily obtainable by ordering two of their “special” rolls.

I’m not going to lie, I know nothing about sushi nor do I really remember what I ordered. Sushi tastes relatively the same to me with the exception of maybe topping it off with avocado or mango, but when I cover the sushi piece in wasabi soy sauce, the distinct flavors really get masked. So all I remembered was making one very good decision and one very bad one. The very good one involved mangos and the very bad one involved chicken, lettuce, and peanut sauce (yes that was a sushi choice). What I was thinking, I have no clue.

Ling and Connie seemed to be happy with their choices. It was a good, cheap place to reminiscence our great days at Allianz. The service was a bit below average. I mean, he took our orders, gave us our food, and left. So we left him 9% tip. Connie and I felt 9% was adequate since we were in a really shabby place and the service wasn’t even average. I generally tip well, anywhere from 15-20%, when I’m satisfied with the service and dining experience, but seriously, I thought even 9% was a bit too much to give.

Well, the guy had the nerve to chase us when we left. He demanded to know why we didn’t tip him 20%. 20 freakin percent? He claimed that all his customers mostly tipped 15%. After we explained why he DID NOT deserve the 10%+ tip, he wasn’t satisfied. So I offered to give another buck. To make things short, he eventually ended up calling us shitty so I retracted my offer and left.

I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.
