Greasy, American, junk food- three words to epitomize the food that Duck & Dive serves. But you know what? If you go, then you should be expecting such food since it’s a pub in ULU. Plus, it’s a college hangout. Hey, at least they have tons of beer and some wine.
I’ve been there twice for food. First time was for fish and chips and the second for their fried mushrooms and onion rings (I know, what was I thinking?) Don’t ever get their fish and chips. It’ll taste okay until the feeling of bloated-ness hits you half an hour later and you become aware of all that grease you inhaled. Their fried mushrooms are really delicious, but once again, half and hour later and you’ll wish you had opted for a healthier option. Their pizza is definitely frozen, by the way.
Their food is pretty cheap though. It’s around 6-7 pounds for a meal and generally you get your main + a side of fries. Their beer and mixed liquor drinks are extremely cheap on Friday nights (1.50 pounds). It’s a good hangout place, but I wouldn’t really go there for food unless if it was raining heavily outside and I needed to stay on campus.
