21 Choices Frozen Yogurt

As I’ve recently learned, the frozen yogurt that launched 1000 parking tickets (ahem, Pinkberry) wasn’t exactly the first of its kind. According to Slo, 21 Choices has been in Old Pasadena for ages, but instead of spreading like wildfire, 21 Choices only expanded to 3 locations. The coolest thing I think, is that they have 6 rotating flavors per day. For me, that means that additional toppings are unnecessary and you can actually enjoy the frozen yogurt purely by itself.

Slo believes that the fruit flavors are always the best. We went on a Saturday and they had Peaches, Root Beer, Reeses, and Vanilla (as far as I can remember). I really liked the peach, but since the usual frozen yogurt that I get is always fruity and tangy, I decided to get the Root Beer and the Reeses.

So another awesome thing about 21 Choices is that you can get more than 1 flavor, even for a small sized cup! And their sizes are totally oversized.

The Root Beer was beyond the most intriguing flavor ever. If there was ever a frozen yogurt that could effectively and fully capture its intention of imitation, it would be the this one. Not only does it actually taste like Root Beer, but there’s that tiny lingering sensation where you can taste carbonation. It’s so weird, but they’ve somehow done it.

The Reeses was also good, but it’s a bit more creamy and heavy. I should have gotten more Root Beer than Reeses, but… there’s always next time.
