Why Savory-bites?

I began blogging about my restaurant adventures in NYC almost two years ago, but after studying abroad in London and Sydney (where I was forced to seek some low budget meals), I began cooking on a daily basis. I found that I thoroughly enjoyed cooking, maybe even more than eating out. I also have a love for desserts; I don’t have too much of a sweet tooth, but I still crave for sweets everyday. I recently decided to combine all of my individual food blogs into one so this new site is a combination of my love for the art of making food and my love for eating it (in different parts of the world)

What type of camera I use?

My camera is by no means a fancy one. In fact, you can get one now on Amazon.com for around $150. I use a Canon Powershot SD1000, but it has a great macro mode and with a little enhancing on iPhoto, my pictures come out decently. While I would love to make my food pictures match with the surroundings and coordinate plate/napkins, unfortunately I simply don’t have the supplies or time. So for now, I make do with what I can.

Who are the lucky people who have the pleasure of dining with you?

You’ll see many people who appear in my posts, but you’ll frequently see Sabrina the most. There’s a joke that if you hang out with me for 2 weeks, you’re guaranteed to gain considerable weight. So I guess at this point, I’d like to extend a thanks to Sabrina, for her persevering stomach.
